OWNER PURCHASES 'LEMON' AFTER FAVOURABLE RACV REPORT
Ivan
Dodin of Melbourne bought a pre owned late model Saab after getting
the 'thumbs up' on a roadworthy inspection conducted by the RACV
from a registered motor vehicle dealer.
After
he purchased the vehicle IVIC alerted Ivan to apparent blemishes
and inconsistencies on the vehicle with the RACV report. A Structural
Tolerance Report later revealed that Ivan's car had been involved
in a previous collision which was not disclosed to him prior to
purchase.
Being
a journalist his curiosity was aroused when he tried to obtain
a collision history of his vehicle and was 'stonewalled' when
he was able to determine contributing negligence by a number of
stakeholders.
The
IVIC 'Structural Tolerance Report' has been able to provide Ivan
with the proof he needs to sue the parties responsible for non
disclosure and diminished value damages on his vehicle purchase.
Had
it not been for IVIC and their expertise I would have been non
the wiser. I recommend to everyone who is considering buying a
pre owned vehicle to first obtain an IVIC Structural Tolerance
Report before you buy, it will prevent many problems

BUDGET INSURANCE WOULDN'T FIX THEIR COLLISION REPAIR FAULTS
Being
lured by a TV commercial for cost effective motor insurance, Tim
Evans bought a policy for his Subaru sedan with Budget Insurance
and was happy until it was time to make a claim.
Being
an avid skier and car enthusiast Tim lost control of his pride
and joy on icy roads in the snowfields causing extensive damage
to the underbody. Tim made a claim and (he thought) the damage
was repaired correctly.
Tim
wasn't entirely happy with the quality of repairs and was continually
frustrated with the lack assistance when he made subsequent complaints
about getting the car repaired to a safe standard, however Budget
Insurance did not appear to want to help him any further.
Concerned
about the integrity of the repairs, Tim took his car into IVIC
for a 'Structural Tolerance Report' and was horrified to learn
that his car had not been repaired as promised but still had existing
substantial collision damage to the underbody. The collision repairs
compromised the vehicle so much that it was unsafe to drive.
Tim
took the IVIC Structural Tolerance Report to Budget substantiating
his claims of inferior collision repairs. Budget only then arranged
for Tim's vehicle to be repaired correctly.
It
was only because of IVIC's professionalism and expertise that
I was finally able to get some satisfaction

POOR COLLISION REPAIR PRACTICES BY AAMI DIMINISH CAR VALUE
Unluckly
to be involved in a vehicle collision, Mrs Kerry KORNHAUSER was
very disappointed with the administration of the poor quality
of collision repair work conducted by AAMI to her late model Toyota
Yaris.
She
felt because she was a woman she was not taken seriously when
she complained about the poor quality of collision repairs conducted
to her vehicle so she took her collision repaired car into IVIC
for an independent assessment of the repairs.
IVIC
identified nineteen (19) faults which were not repaired to manufactures
specifications.
When Mrs Kornhauser presented the IVIC report to AAMI she was
given a loan car (at no cost) whilst her car underwent the proper
repairs she had expected to receive on the first occasion.
I
believe without the IVIC report I'd still be fighting to get my
car repaired properly

DRIVER INHALING EXHASUST FUMES AFTER FAULTY COLLSION REPAIR.
Mr
Tsz Kin Au took his car to IVIC for a post collision repair inspection
after his complaint of poor workmanship fell on deaf ears with
his insurer Just Car Insurance.
IVIC confirmed that the repairs were of dangerous identifying
that the structural integrity of the vehicle had been safety compromised.
Mr
Au was further outraged to learn that toxic exhaust fumes were
also possibly being sucked into the cabin through a faulty rear
hatch which could have caused him to fall unconscious and crash
whilst he was driving.
He
was immediately placed him into a loan car when he produced the
IVIC Structural Tolerance Report confirming his complaint to his
insurer whilst his car underwent rectification work.
His
vehicle was repaired and later returned to him in the condition
he had expected on the first occasion. Mr Au was reimbursed all
costs of having to prove his claim.
I believe IVIC helped me get my car fixed properly

YOUNG DRIVER RIPPED OFF BUYING DEATH TRAP
Young
car buyer Michael Breed become aware of huge problems with the
vehicle he recently purchased from a licensed vehicle dealer when
he had a slight collision. The dealer had breached his Duty of
Care responsibilities by not disclosing that the vehicle Michael
purchased had compromised structural damage and was not 'crashworthy'
as a result of an earlier collision.
The
dealer claimed that he had properly conducted his Duty of Care
by providing a current crashworthy certificate for the vehicle.
Unfortunately for the dealer he did not have the structural integrity
of the vehicle tested before he sold it to Michael. A Roadworthy
certificate does not mean that the vehicle is Crashworthy.
Michael
tried to amicably resolve the matter but the dealer denied any
wrong doing. He took his vehicle to IVIC where a Structural Tolerance
Report revealed that the vehicle had undergone substantial collision
repairs on previous occasions compromising the integrity of the
vehicle.
Michal
now has the technical evidence he needs to prove that the vehicle
he purchased was not only a lemon but was dangerously defective.
I
believe if it wasn't for IVIC I wouldn't have been able to prove
my case. Everyone should get a structural tolerance report before
they purchase another used vehicle

NEW CLK MERCEDES DELIVERED WITH HIIDEN ACCIDENT DAMAGE.
Accountant
Michael Argentino from Balwyn was interested to learn more about
the new IVIC motor vehicle structural reporting business. Michael
thought he'd have his vehicle checked to see how the IVIC Structural
Tolerance Report measured up against his new and apparently undamaged
CLK Mercedes.
Michael
was infuriated to learn that his new $140,000 vehicle was not
only delivered to him outside the recommended manufacturers structural
tolerances, but had undisclosed under body and rear suspension
damage, a shortened wheel base and repaired front guard consistent
to a previous collision and a rusting and bent drive shaft. The
vibrations from the bent drive shaft would certainly over time
cause other extensive differential damage.
Michal
is now pursuing an explanation and compensation from the dealer
who sold him the car.
Without
IVIC I'd most certainly wouldn't know about the existing damage
to my car. I recommend everyone who is buying a new (or used vehicle)
to obtain an IVIC Structural Tolerance Report before they commit
to any vehicle purchase

IVIC HELPS NEW SUBARU OWNER - SOLD A LEMON
Proud
purchaser Mathew Musumeci of Preston brought his new Subaru Impressa
STI only to be disheartened by continuous mechanical problems
plagued with his new vehicle.
Over
the past 12 months Mathew has returned the vehicle a number of
times to the Subaru dealer to receive a new replacement engine,
two new drive shafts and soon, a new diff. Subaru have been unable
to identify the cause of the continuous problems.
Mat
consequently brought his vehicle to IVIC which conducted a Structural
Tolerance Report and identified what appeared to be a manufacturers
fault in the structural tolerance in the vehicle.
The
structure integrity of this vehicle appears to be compromised
which most certainly would be the catalyst of such mechanical
problems said Tony Murdaca Director of Technical Operations at
IVIC.
Matt
now has the technical evidence he requires to substantiate and
negotiate a favourable settlement for his unmerchantable vehicle.

JUST CAR INSURANCE CAUGHT OUT WITH DOGGY REPAIR
Financier
Mr Sasha Caller of Melbourne crashed his expensive pride and joy
Porsche Boxter when he swerved to miss an animal in the rain.
The vehicle was towed to a prestige smash repairer in Elsternwick
where Sasha was told the vehicle would be repaired in 2 weeks
and given an old Hyundai courtesy car to drive.
The
repaired Porsche was returned to him after 4 weeks however he
was not happy with the way it handled after the repair. Sasha
took the vehicle into IVIC at West Melbourne where a Structural
Tolerance Report was conducted on the vehicle only to discover
dodgy repairs to the front suspension and near side chassis rail.
IVIC discovered approx a further $30,000 of repairs were needed
to this vehicle because the earlier repairs compromised the structural
integrity of the vehicle causing a major safety defect.
With
the IVIC Structural Tolerance Report in hand, Sasha was able to
prove his complaint without resistance from Just Car Insurance.
Sasha was immediately placed into an Audi A4 courtesy car whilst
he awaits the fate of his vehicle. It is expected the Porsche
will now be written off.
I
can't believe the service, fantastic
.. I recommend everyone
should get their collision repaired car checked at IVIC

DEATH TRAP PASSED BY VICROADS AND RACV
Roz
found a new used vehicle over the internet from a seller who produced
a current Vic Roads roadworthy certificate. Wanting to be certain
that the vehicle was safe, Roz also arranged a pre purchase inspection
with the RACV which described the vehicle in 'Good Condition'
Roz subsequently purchased the vehicle on the strength of the
favourable reports of the two motoring authorities.
She
kept the vehicle for a short time however discovered things were
just not right with the vehicle. She took the vehicle into IVIC
for a Structural Tolerance Report which confirmed Roz' worst fears.
The vehicle had structural and mechanical defects so apparent
that they immediately wrote- off the vehicle as a death trap.
It
was also later revealed that Mrs Heillcar had purchased the vehicle
which had previously been written off and repaired, however was
not disclosed to her by Vic Roads nor was it identified on the
RACV inspection report.
If
it wasn't for IVIC, I could have been killed or worst still permanently
disabled

AAMI INSURANCE LEAVES UNREPAIRED COLLISION DAMAGE ON CLIENTS
VEHICLE.
After
lodging numerous complaints Nissan Maxima owner Mr Truiong of
Point Cook was not happy with the quality of the collision repairs
that AAMI had administered to his car. He further claimed that
he was not taken seriously when he made his complaints and that
he was treated unfairly.
Unable
to get a resolution Mr Truiong turned to IVIC for help which not
only substantiated his complaints, but was horrified to learn
that IVIC identified further extensive and unrepaired under body
collision damage remaining to his vehicle.
It
is clear that this vehicle was repaired to an inadequate budget
and not to the standard as promised by the insurer said Tony Murdaca,
Director of Technical Operations at IVIC.
With
an IVIC Structural Tolerance Report in hand Mr Truiong was not
only able to get his vehicle repaired without further aggravation
or frustration but was given a courtesy vehicle to drive free
of charge whilst his car underwent no cost remedial repairs.
If
it wasn't for IVIC I'd still be driving a damaged vehicle and
arguing with AAMI

NEW FORD IS A LEMON.
Mr
Luke Corluka of Footscray was excited when he purchased something
he always wanted, a new BA Ford XR6 Ute however the joy was short
lived.
Almost
immediately Luke noticed the vehicle had many problems, an annoying
rattle in the cabin, excessive oil consumption, uncontrollable
steering and other cosmetic flaws. Only after constant complaining
was he able to get the rattle in the cabin rectified which turned
out to be a manufacturers fault inside the rear pillar - there
were no welds securing the 'inner' panel in place which involved
a stripping the cabin completely.
For
the next two and half years he constantly complained to the Ford
dealer about uncontrollable and dangerous action of the vehicle
when braking, but the dealer could never locate the fault when
test driving the vehicle.
Extremely
frustrated and displeased with Ford's service he turned to IVIC
for further assistance. IVIC conducted a Structural Tolerance
Report on the vehicle and within moments identified that the front
suspension mounts and sway bar had a 16 ml distortion in tolerance
and why the brakes were malfunctioning and not operating properly.
All problems were apparently a manufacturers fault.
Luke
now has the technical evidence he requires to substantiate his
complaint. Luke expects to now receive a favourable resolution
to his long and protracted complaints.
I've
been going crazy trying to find someone who can find the problems
with my ca r, however I didn't expect to find the expert assistance
I did. Thank You IVIC

RACV CAUGHT OUT WITH DISGRACEFUL REPAIRS
Craig
Veal is lucky to be alive after he fell asleep at the wheel of
his expensive prestige Jaguar sedan and drove through a safety
barrier snapping a power pole. The uncompromised structural integrity
of the vehicle not only prevented him from sustaining injuries
but probably saved his life.
The
vehicle was subsequently taken to a smash repairer in Laverton
taking six months to repair the damage. When Craig finally had
his car returned to him, he found numerous faults with the repaired
vehicle and no amount of complaining to his insurer (RACV) and
repairer was he able to get the problems rectified.
He
turned to IVIC who conducted Structural Tolerance Report on the
vehicle. Senior IVIC technicians were horrified to find the amount
of structural and cosmetic damage remaining on the car that had
not been fixed. The car was so badly repaired that it could no
longer be driven safely. RACV only admitted liability and settled
the claim after Mr Veal was able to produce the required technical
evidence with an IVIC Structural Tolerance report.
Thank
you IVIC you provide a wonderful service, I'll tell my friends

IVIC HELPS NEW CAR OWNER OBTAIN SATISFACTION FROM INSURER
The
International Vehicle Integrity Centre Limited (IVIC) was able
to help Mrs Margaret Shaw (Melbourne) obtain the collision repairs
she was originally entitled to.
Mrs
Shaw the proud owner of a new Toyota Camry unfortunately had a
collision soon after she took delivery of her new car. After three
months in the Woods repair shop for what appeared to be minor
cosmetic damage her vehicle was returned to her with unrepaired
collision damage. After complaining and returning her vehicle
to the repairer and insurer (AAMI) a number of times, her complaints
apparently fell on deaf ears, not much was done to fix the problems.
Frustrated
and unhappy with the service and treatment, she turned to IVIC
for assistance which conducted a forensic technical report on
her vehicle. IVIC identified the unrepaired structural damage
and a number of other poorly repaired cosmetic items on her new
motor car. Armed with the IVIC Structural Tolerance Report to
substantiate her claims, Mrs Shaw was finally able to obtain the
satisfaction she first sought from her insurer and smash repairer.
Thank
you IVIC, where would I have been without you
